Summary

Description
English: Ha Ha, Houghton Hall Whether it was this one, I don't know, but Horace Walpole, the son of Robert Walpole who built the present Houghton Hall and laid out the park, says that one of the first gardens with a Ha Ha was his father's at Houghton, see http://www.gardenvisit.com/t/w9.htm. To the right is the edge of a square plantation of boxed limes planted in 1949 (this is the topiary feature mentioned in Geograph https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/302370 ).
