English: 132 kV underground/submarine power cable marker, Lepe. The marker is for a submarine power cable that runs from the Hampshire mainland to the Isle of Wight. Beyond is the river valley of Dark Water, which was once an estuary but is choked off by a bridge and short tunnel before it reaches the Solent. On the horizon to the right some of the Fawley refinery chimneys can be seen. |
