Description
English: Christmas illumination in Sct. Mathias Gade, Viborg, Denmark. The street lightning is new and based on LEDs. Some facts according to "Viborg Nyt", Week 48, 1/12 - 7/12 2010 p. 25, Viborgs julebelysning tager hensyn til miljøet: Compared to the previous illumination used in 2009 and before, the LED-based lights will be lead to a reduction in cost for the electricity of 39000 DKK, savings in energy of 29000 kWh, corresponding to 14.5 ton of CO2. The cost for setting up and putting down the illumination including transportation and VAT was over 500000 DKK in 2009. The cost of the illumination itself is in excess of 1000000 DKK sponsored by the shop owners and Viborg Kommune. Perspective corrected and cropped using GIMP. The two motion blurred pedestrians are supposed to be motion blurred.
