Proposal

The proposal allows to enrich other tags with information on the plant type. The proposal supports a generic concept which can be applied to several tags such as:

• natural=tree
• landuse=plant_nursery
• ...

This tag is not intended for tagging an object on its own, the tag always has to be used in combination with other tags.

The plant proposal is based on the already existing features used by natural=tree.

plant=*	The generic type of plant that is grown.	Possible values: tree, herb, bush, grass, vine, fern, moss, green-algae
genus=*	Scientific name of the genus (first part of the scientific name)	Refer to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Genus for details.
species=*	Scientific name of the species (popularly known as the Latin name). Please use the namespaces for local languages.	Refer to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Species for details.

Rendering

This feature is not to be rendered on its own, it depends on the features which are enriched by this tag on how they are rendered.
