Guidelines
Naming
The official language of Oman is Arabic so Arabic should be used as the primary language in name= tags. The following name tagging scheme should be used:
- name=<default name> Arabic name
- name:ar=<arabic name> Arabic name, should be identical to the name=<default name> tag
- name:en=<english name> English name, should be added, if available
Example: the name tag for the governorate of Muscat is as follows: name=مسقط name:en=Muscat name:ar=مسقط.
