Status: in use

The key window=* is mostly used with the value yes to mark the location of a window or with the value skylight to mark the location of a skylight.

It is also used to indicate that a building or building part has or does not have windows[1].

Measurements

window:height length value the height of a window (i.e. the space between the top and the bottom of the window)
window:breast length value the breast of a window (i.e. the space between the ground of the floor and the bottom of the window). An alternative would be to use min_height=* as already in use for buildings.
window:width length value the width of a window

Shape and Structure

window:shape rectangle/circle/semicircle/triangle/diamond/… The main shape of the window
window:top:shape rectangle/semicircle/triangle/arc/… The shape of the upper end of the window. The bottom can be tagged similarly with window:bottom:shape=*.
window:panes 2x2, 3x2 the number and arrangement of panes (horizontal x vertical)
window:shutter no/left/right/both whether there are one-sided or two-sided shutters. If no shutter-related tag is present, then it is assumed that the windows don't have shutters. (The directions are seen from the inside of the building.)

Retractable skylight
