AND Data Shortcomings List

The AND Data is a fantastic asset for OSM, we all agree on that. Still, it is not perfect. That's where we come in. This page represents a list of known shortcomings in the AND dataset as was donated to OSM back in July 2007.

General shortcomings

This section holds shortcomings of the AND Dataset that are not bound to a specific geographical region, but apply to the dataset as a whole and concern for example a specific feature (like footpaths and cyclepaths)

• Footpaths are mostly missing (or incorrectly tagged as ways)

• Amsterdam , Rotterdam , Utrecht , Den Haag : Subways (Metro) and Tramlines are inexistant.

• Oftenly Forests are part of a greater area like a national park like the Naardermeer , Amsterdamse Bos , Vinkeveense Plassen so more definition between farmland and natural area would be interesting

• Direction of one way streets is often wrong.

Specific Geographical Entities

This section holds specific geographically defined regions where the AND dataset falls short. Be as specific as possible. 'Amsterdam' is not helpful. Try to include a link to the map comparison web site at topf.org (use the 'permalink' button in the bottom section).

Friesland

In Drachten wordt momenteel druk gebouwd aan de oost kant, de bedrijvenparken staan nog niet in OSM. Ook is het klaverblad afgemaakt en moet nog in OSM. Kaart

Noord-Holland

• Amsterdam Zuid - Riekerpolder (map)

• Amsterdam Bijlmer <-> Rai = Utrechtboog , Amsterdam Sloterdijk Railconnection Zaandam <-> Lelylaan

• Er zijn nog wat dubbele steegjes en fietspaden, zie bijv bij het Waterlooplein, Teerketelsteeg, Engelsesteeg, Staalstraat

• De Dam, er loopt geen straat meer langs de noordkant. Zuidkant rechte lijn? Paleis weergeven (gps meten of yahoo sateliet?), aan noordkant Paleis pedestrian, aansluiten steegjes, Plein tag (leisure=common) map

• Waterlooplein, Stopera gebouw en plein weergeven

• Wallengebied enkele stegen onderhand afgesloten (verlengde Oudezijds Armsteeg, brug rechts), check unclassifeid <-> pedestrian

• Nieuwmarkt plein aangeven

• Rembrandtplein aangeven

• check Pijlsteeg. Sint Janssteeg parking? (mogelijk Krasnapolsky parking op verkeerde plek) map

• Muntplein?

• Nieuwe Spiegelgracht postbus in het water

• Plantage Parklaan Hortus

• Rond Manegestraat? map

• Alexanderkade map

• Molukkenstraat fietspad langs weg, lelijk, en hoeveel zin heeft het, je kan in Amsterdam bijna overal fietsen, er worden steeds meer fietspaden los gelegd, moeten die wel allemaal apart worden weergegeven? map

Zuid-Holland

• Leidschendam has serveral 'invented' ways, that never existed. (Vinkenborglaan / Oude Trambaan stuk)
