Aberdeen is also the name of the Council Area that surrounds the city.

Code The City is a civic hacking initiative interested in hack weekends, open data, workshops, and idea generation tools. They have a strong interest in Wikidata, OpenStreetMap, python, and other technologies, so any mappers/technologists would be most welcome. This is a low-pressure environment where you can work on whatever you wish and/or join in with others. Their once-per-month newsletter contains information on upcoming events.
