Department of Planning and Infrastructure (NT) has a bunch of data uploaded to data.australia.gov.au which includes lat/lon:

This spread sheet includes schools, parks, fire/ambulance stations, libraries, museums and aboriginal communities.
Majority of the data is aboriginal communities which has been tagged as place=hamlet
