Other Business

High-Quality Images in learnOSM

Nick will play with different image sizes. One problem is that the stylesheets for the website pose different limits depending on the device with which the pages are accessed. Michael pointed out that screenshots which contain relevant text are unreadable at their current sizes.

iD CSS Style Sheet

Nick suggested the creation of a style sheet for the iD editor. It could include enhancements from http://learnosm.org/en/hot-tips/enhance/ and also items from the HOT validate style. One emphasis should be on having different types of highways appear noticeably different in iD. Michael said he might give converting stuff from the validate style a try as time permits. Suzan offered to add her experience in user interface design.

learnOSM Feedback

Russ noticed that the current language (menu heading) appears as a link which leads to nowhere (fixed on 2017-02-13 right after the meeting)

Ralph announced that he will send his comments on some pages as an odt-document to the group.

Training WG and Social Media

Now that learnOSM and Transifex were mentioned on http://www.weeklyosm.eu/ (issue 342) the question arised whether the Training WG should publish something like a Tip of the Week on some channel. Russ started activities to revive the learnOSM twitter account. Contents and interval of such a communication remains to be discussed.
