What Happened

We met at 10am, divvied up some areas to map, mapped for a couple of hours and returned to the pub where we had lunch.

We had 2 cars that went of to map. One went up towards the tarn/Guard House/Highfield and the other to Long Lee/Thwaites Brow. A couple of people had iphones and OSM apps that seemed to work really well. Others went on foot to get the town centre and the area east of Skipton road.

In the afternoon, 3 of us finished off a small area of the town centre.

As the wi-fi was not working in Whetherspoons today, we went home to map. Everyone had done some OSM before, so no need to share transcribing skills!

It was sunny and boiling hot all day - nice day to map.

Getting there

Public transport did indeed get one of us there for 10am. The parking in a public car park just behind the pub was free on a Sunday, and the cars provided a relatively safe place to leave jackets, bags etc. There are bike racks in Keighley, but we didn't have anywhere inside that we could store them.
