The key rcn_ref=* is a derivation of the key ref=*for nodes of a regional bicycle node network.
In past the key was used to describe a road as part of a regional cycle route. It is better to use relations to tag cycle routes instead of this tag, because cycle routes can share one road.
How to map
Road crossing
The following properties are added to the point 
of the intersection.

| expected_rcn_route_relations=* (optional) | Specifies the number of routes that end or begin at this account point. This allows missing routes to be detected.
Only route relations of the node network are counted. |
The node shall be selected so that each trip to/from a neighboring network node passes through this point.
