Values denoting visibility along a way
Commonly prefixed with the kind of path the visibility relates to, such as trail, track, path, trailblazed.
Tag | Trail | Requirements | Example |
---|---|---|---|
*:visibility=excellent | Unambiguous path or markers everywhere | None, orientation unproblematic, no map required | |
*:visibility=good | Next marker always visible, but sometimes has to be searched for. | Basic sense of direction, map recommended | |
*:visibility=intermediate | Track mostly visible | Good sense of direction, map required | |
*:visibility=bad | Path sometimes invisible, route partly pathless | Basic skills in orientation | |
*:visibility=horrible | Often pathless | Advanced orientational skills | |
*:visibility=no | Mostly pathless | Excellent orientational skills |
Common combinations
- advertising=* For advertising devices, setting a 'visibility' value helps define the impact of the advertising unit on the passers-by.
- amenity=clock From which distance can you read a publicly visible clock? E.g.: the value 'area' can be used for a church clock.
