To be a strongly localized open mapping hub that provides spatial data and builds mighty, sustainable open-source data in the community, based on local knowledge and with the community's involvement.

About Us

Local Knowledge Mappers is a non-profit, locally registered organisation dedicated to promoting and supporting open mapping in Zambia, Africa, and globally. Our organisation focuses on empowering local communities to take ownership of their spatial data, fostering collaboration, and promoting sustainable development through open-source mapping initiatives.
