Mapping Pelješac
Mapping Pelješac
OpenStreetMap Poland has been invited by the Pedagogical University of Krakow to participate in a research camp, where it will introduce the participants to the editing methods of OSM as part of activities with students. In connection with the research projects conducted by the University of Krakow, the choice fell on the Pelješac peninsula. The campaign will involve on-site data collection by project participants during the week-long camp and the use of standard tools available to OpenStreetMap editors.
Rationale
Currently, the Pelješac peninsula is not very well mapped. The completion of the bridge between the peninsula and the mainland this year will increase tourism, and for this reason we want to contribute to the improvement of data in this area.
