This will break web map displays all over the web. OpenLayers is a separate open source development project not directly part of the OpenStreetMap project, and the server concerned is not one of the Servers managed by OpenStreetMap.

Web map displays will be broken at the moment where developers have linked directly to openlayers.org to reference javascript within their <script> tag. In many of our OpenLayers code examples we demonstrate doing this, mainly for simplicity. There are advantages and disadvantages of doing this as opposed to keeping a local copy of the javascript. One major disadvantage is a reliance on openlayers.org being up!
