Phuket is a province in Thailand at latitude 7°53′24.00″ North, longitude 98°23′52.80″ East.

Ongoing Projects
- The boundaries for all of the Amphoe and Tambon need to be sourced and mapped- please see this topic on the OSM forums

Data sources
In addition to a survey with GPS one may also use aerial imagery if available with a suitable license.
Bing aerial imagery is available in many parts. Landsat provides coverage of the whole country and is available with different image modes.

Phuket is divided into three districts (
Amphoe), which are further subdivided into 17 subdistricts (tambon) and 103 villages (muban).

There are nine municipal (thesaban) areas within the province. The capital Phuket has city (thesaban nakhon) status, and the main touristical town Patong as well as Kathu has town (thesaban mueang) status. There are further six subdistrict municipalities (thesaban tambon)—Karon, Thep Krasattri, Choeng Thale, Ratsada, Rawai and Wichit. The non-municipal areas are administrated by nine tambon administrative organizations (TAO).
