Proposal
There are bookmakers (also known as betting shops or bookies) on probably every High Street in the UK. These are shops where customers can gamble money on the outcome of an event, usually a sporting event such as a horse race or football match. Most of these belong to the big chains, such as Ladbrokes, Coral and William Hill.

Rationale
While adding tags for my local shops, I noticed there is a distinct lack of any existing tags for these establishments. There are already over 500 entries in taginfo for bookmakers and betting shops combined.
Examples
A look at any High Street in the UK will find dozens of these establishments. As well as city centres, they are often also present in suburban local shop parades.
Tagging
Whether this should go under shop, amenity or leisure is open for debate. I propose shop because they are located in shop units and a lot of people call them 'betting shops'.
Other significant tags to describe specific instances of the item
Apart from the brand name/operator, I cannot think of any specifics.
Generic tags that are re-used extensively
Name and operator are relevant to this proposal.
Applies to
This would apply to nodes and to areas (but not ways).
Rendering
It's difficult to think of something specific. Perhaps a dice or roulette wheel symbol?
Features/Pages affected
This would need an entry on the main Map Features page and possibly a Wiki page for the shop:bookmaker tag like with the other shops.
Update: There is now a wiki-page for shop=bookmaker (approved as part of the Gambling-proposal).
