An electrical switching station is a facility, which at least 2 powerlines enter. In opposite to a substation no change of voltage levels is done.
Examples
- Distribution stations without transformers
- Fenced-in terminal towers at which an overhead power-line ends and an underground cable starts
- PLC-Repeater Stations
