battery could be use both as input and output of a power=generator, any idea ? generator:source=battery + generator:output:battery_charging ? power=battery ? Marc marc (talk)
- Can you explain more? Are you looking for generator:plant=* ?
A battery directly receives or delivers electricity. You shouldn't have generator:source=battery + battery charging. generator:source=battery is used for batteries. Battery charging is used for others charging a battery.
I don't know how exactly batteries paired with solar or wind are handled now. They should still use generator:output:electricity=* , not generator:output:battery_charging=* . Maybe generator:plant=intermediate;output should be used as they do both charging inside, and powering the outside.
If the battery is an outside facility not belonging to the solar or wind farm, it should be generator:plant=output ? We don't have details on what each power=plant outputs to. type=power + power=circuit is complicated, and mainly for transmission. —— Kovposch (talk) 08:50, 17 January 2025 (UTC) - I only considered staying with power=generator here. There was Proposal:Power storage to have power=storage that's more general than power=battery ( Proposal:Tag:power=battery ) , but I don't fully agree with the details. I can think about how I want to do it.
—— Kovposch (talk) 08:36, 17 January 2025 (UTC) - Currently, there are generator:storage=* , plant:storage=*
