Why not use cemetery=grave?
The tag cemetery=grave is already somewhat common, is there a reason to change it? --Jeisenbe (talk) 08:44, 25 February 2021 (UTC)
- These are two different things. There is a grave (remains in the ground) and a headstone (a physical structure on the surface). Something B (talk) 08:50, 25 February 2021 (UTC)
- Well yes, but you cannot have a tombstone or headstone without a grave, but there are some marked graves that have a plaque or stake or some other sort of marker rather than a stone, so grave is a more generally useful term. Also, headstone and gravestone seem to be more common terms for these stones. --Jeisenbe (talk) 08:57, 25 February 2021 (UTC)
