Since the majority of the sewer is underground it is difficult to survey and map, however from around 2017 though to 2025 and onwards a revitalisation project has been underway to perform once in a century maintenance and restoration of the sewer, as a result key access points of the sewer network have become surveyable due when maintenance works are being undertaken.
