The openfire=* tag is used to indicate whether open fires are allowed at a feature, typically a tourism=camp_site or tourism=picnic_site.

There may be designated places for fires such as a ring of stones, a leisure=firepit, a fireplace=*, or an amenity=bbq, or visitors may be required to bring a grill or bbq with them.

Values

openfire=yes specifies that open fires are allowed.

openfire=no specifies that open fires are not allowed.

openfire=permit specifies that open fires are only allowed by permit.

How to map

Add the tag openfire=* with the appropriate value to a node or area that is also tagged with a relevant main feature tag such as tourism=camp_site, tourism=caravan_site, tourism=camp_pitch, leisure=park, tourism=picnic_site, etc.
