This tag is for places selling ice cream and/or frozen yoghurt, making it an exact duplicate of (much more popular) amenity=ice_cream.

Previously, some proposed that it be used only for "places selling ice cream to take home"; in practice, there is generally no difference in tagging since most vendors intend for both on-site and take-home consumption. Use takeaway=only/takeaway=yes/takeaway=no to record this kind of info.
