The tag sport=climbing_adventure marks a place as an Adventure park, also known as Ropes course, high ropes course, Climbing Adventure, Zip-line or Treetop Adventure, where people get mountain hiking accessories and try to climb, walk or otherwise move on prebuilt wires and other objects high above ground using continuous safety measures. They are usually open for everyone including kids and do not require special abilities apart from good physical condition.
How to map
Since this is a non-physical tag, it should be combined with other (physical) tags; e.g.:
Tags used in combination
- name=*
- operator=*
- opening_hours=*
Features used in combination
Different features within the adventure park can be mapped separately:
- aerialway=zip_line is used to map zip lines
- highway=via_ferrata is used to map ropes courses
- climbing=route is used to map climbing routes
Rendering
Via ferratas and climbing routes are rendered by specialised maps, for example OpenAndroMaps
On OSM Carto there is no specific rendering apart from the physical object the sport is played on.
