Obscure stairs, ramps, and paths of Somerville
A moderator from the Davis Square LJ community compiled a map of obscure pedestrian features of Somerville. I'm posting this here in the hopes that a local user will be interested in adding these to OSM (where they are not already present.) -- Phyzome 15:16, 18 June 2010 (UTC)
- Awesome resource! Thank you thank you! I love getting the connecting footpaths in. I've found and entered 5 or 10 of these on my own... This guy's definitely lived in the area longer than me :) I'll be slowly entering this stuff into osm. -- JasonWoof 16:57, 18 June 2010 (UTC)
- Don't. Read Google terms of use. -- Lulu-Ann
- This isn't google's content. I don't see how google would have any say in how I use it. -- JasonWoof 10:12, 22 June 2010 (UTC)
- This is my content. Feel free to use it in any way you wish, but please give me credit. -- Ron Newman 03:18, 25 March 2011 (UTC)
- Ron, I don't think it can be used directly -- if I understand correctly, OSM mappers will have to visit each spot personally with a GPS unit, then upload their own findings to OSM. -- Phyzome 17:02, 25 March 2011 (UTC)
- Seriously read google's TOS especially section 11.1, it's ok to use as long as the data is just being displayed in google maps, it only gets tricky (in non American jurisdictions) if it was created from google maps, in other news I'm about to start trying to import MassDOT bike data (including on road bike lanes) if anyone is interested in helping. --Calvin.metcalf 23:51, 26 September 2011 (BST)
Cleanup
I found the page Boston_Hackathon under Lonely Pages (that means no other page is linked with that page). As there is a chapter Hacking_Party in your main page I would propose to set a link on there in order to include it. --Rennhenn 13:39, 26 January 2013 (UTC)
