How to use

I have tried over the years to use this plugin and have always been defeated. The wording on this page is vague and, apparently, although this is just a guess on my part, requires a "world file", (whatever that is - no explanation of what or why appears on the page), that must be created from a command prompt. Does this involve or require a Linux environment or is this a DOS command?

Recently, I have tried to use a geo-referenced TIF file and a WMS link (both from Mapwarper), as well as a JPG file from my computer without success. The error messages are not helpful. Someone needs to rewrite this page so a person can actually follow a step-by-step tutorial that explains in some detail how to use it. I am an experienced OSM mapper and have programming experience, albeit from long ago, and I must say this page is virtually useless as written. AlaskaDave (talk) 21:05, 17 October 2021 (UTC)
