More actions

May I add my own actions? I've made dumbutils plugin for them for now. Some of those would probably considered inappropriate for JOSM core, but since utilsplugin2 is separate plugin, it could include all of them, so dumbutils plugin could be deleted. As of today, there are no icons for actions, but that's not a problem. --Zverik 11:30, 20 April 2011 (BST)

Never mind, they're already in. Documentation pending. --Zverik 19:13, 20 April 2011 (BST)

additional tool: split Multipolygons

very good plugin. I'm just missing a tool to split multipolygons. example: huge landuse multipoligon. I sketch a line between two edges and define this line as splitting line for the two newly created relations. Thank you

Is now implemented, see https://josm.openstreetmap.de/ticket/18295

Behaviour for replace node with way

Does the replace geometry tool retain the original node as on of the nodes in the new way in a similar manner to the way it appempts to re-use nodes in the way-to-way mode or does it just delee the old node? I generally like to trey to keep as much of the history in "visible" elements as possible, but I don't know if this is done automatically. --InsertUser (talk) 09:11, 23 July 2020 (UTC)

Yes, it uses the original node in the way. You can easily verify this on your own: Select the way and press Ctr+Shift+N to select the way nodes.

bbox ?

Is there a way to determine the coordinates of the active bbox? The {#lon}, {#lat} pair is already available, and it would be nice to have the second pair to complete a bbox. --GOwin (talk) 01:26, 1 November 2021 (UTC)

What is meant by active bbox? You can get the bounding box of the currently shown area with "Download from OSM" -> Tab Bounding Box -> Copy bounds button.

Enhancements for "Tag multiple objects" feature

Hello developers,

Thank you for this very useful plugin.

I'd like to suggest some enhancements for the "Tag multiple objects (alpha)" feature, specifically for editing tags of multiple objects in the table view:

  • Clone tag values: Add a functionality to easily clone the value of one tag to another for multiple selected objects. For example, if I have six hotels selected with a "name" tag and I want to copy those values to a "name:en" tag, it would be convenient to do this in a single operation.
  • Search and replace with Regex support: Implement search and replace functionality within the tag editor table, including support for regular expressions (Regex). This would be extremely helpful for bulk editing and fixing common tagging issues, such as removing prefixes from multiple tags quickly.
  • Integrated object history: While JOSM provides history access, it requires deselecting the current objects. Integrating a history view directly within the tag editor table would streamline the process of reviewing past edits without losing the current selection.

Thank you for considering these suggestions.
