How about a bench next to a wall acting as backrest?
What about a bench without backrest located along a wall. Technically, people can enjoy a "backrest", even though the bench itself doesn’t have one. Will it be backrest=yes here? Bxl-forever (talk) 13:48, 25 July 2022 (UTC)
- @Bxl-forever: Good question, to which I have no answer. (If the wall isn't too far away, I would have said yes, even if it doesn't offer the comfort of a real reclined backrest). Maybe
backrest=wall
, which has been used about 20 times, would be a good option. --Dafadllyn (talk) 17:59, 14 December 2024 (UTC)- This looks confusing and unclear. There can be actual dedicated backrests installed on walls. In other locations, something other than a wall would act as backrests. Having eg backrest=informal could cover all of them, and another attribute for where the amenity=bench is located at.
