Talk:Organised Editing/Activities/Mapycz
Note "A user’s profile page should also include links to the wiki pages of the organised edits and organisations they participate in on an ongoing basis."
I contacted (Mapy.cz/PM to Mamutinka reminding about Organised Editing Guidelines) one employee with a blank user page, hopefully they will fix it ( https://www.openstreetmap.org/user/Mamutinka )

note like https://www.openstreetmap.org/note/2515889 currently have 1st a header "Forwarding anonymous report from #Mapy.cz user, please verify" and only after the usefull info itself. some tools make notifications from notes, with a truncated length. so showing only header and not the useful part. could you invert things with first the information itself and then a footer saying that it comes from a user of your application ? --Marc marc (talk) 15:52, 28 January 2021 (UTC)
- So instead of "Forwarding anonymous report from #Mapy.cz user, please verify: Parc des Ânes." it would be "Parc des Ânes (forwarding anonymous report from #Mapy.cz user, please verify)"? Mateusz Konieczny (talk) 17:49, 28 January 2021 (UTC)
- I am curious what kind of software you use that shows this notes? Vespucci or something else? Mateusz Konieczny (talk) 17:49, 28 January 2021 (UTC)
- If you will have no answer here then writing at petr.fukatko@firma.seznam.cz is a good idea - I had a very good experience with that. And I admit that I am person who requested adding this info, as some mappers were unaware that info comes from reports that need to be verified. Sadly I was unaware about this side effect :( Mateusz Konieczny (talk) 17:49, 28 January 2021 (UTC)
- osmbot push :) current output is "Mamutinka posted a new note near Pont de Montvert - Sud Mont Lozère, Lozère, Occitanie, France https://osm.org/note/2515889 ("Forwarding anonymous report from #Mapy.cz user, please verify: …")" --Marc marc (talk) 19:59, 28 January 2021 (UTC)
- They (... please verify 'a concrete name') are really horrible, doesn't say anything/incite to action. They should be either: "Parc des Ânes - I was here and I saw this name written on a info board", or "Parc des Ânes - I was nearby and heard this is called like this", or "Parc des Ânes - I saw it written on another (tourist) map". The "please verify" should be only used on thind atat need to be verified, e.g. "There is a statue around this point - please verify. I see lots of these notes around my city and I really have a strong urge just to delete them all ... --Vmicho (talk) 09:28, 22 May 2024 (UTC)
