Talk:Photography legislation
Germany
Although the legal text seems to ban only the publishing of photos of people ("... verbreitet oder öffentlich zur Schau gestellt werden ..."), I finally found an interview with a lawyer explaining that some German people could feel their privacy is being violated if they knew anyone might have a photo of them and that a court has so decided. Quite peculiar. Alv 08:53, 10 August 2009 (UTC)

Can someone comment on the legality of taking pictures of the entrance to a military or government installation from the (public) street, using only sufficient zoom to capture the name of the place, etc. (i.e. not anything beyond the entrance)? AM909 12:06, 4 April 2010 (UTC)
Use of dashboard camera/action camera otherwise mounted action cameras
Is there any information about the installation and use of dashboard cameras or action cameras independent of where on the vehicle they are mounted? After the meteor explosion over Russia some time back it was mentioned on (at least Brazilian media) that use of dashboard cameras are common in Russia. Is there any general international reference to this use, where it might be illegal, etc. --Skippern (talk) 17:46, 2 January 2015 (UTC)
