Here is the python used for adding and updating all addresses in Norway: addr2osm

A similar approach is used in Denmark. We update all addresses once a month. It takes about one hour for the entire country and is fully automated. Addresses are loaded from csv files provided by the mapping authority. We abandoned adding addr tags to buildings because in many cases there is no 1:1 relation between the two, and it makes updates a lot easier when only nodes are involved. --NKA (talk) 08:43, 21 February 2019 (UTC)
