Rotatability

Moved from Talk:Proposed features/lounger#Rotatability. Kovposch (talk) 11:11, 22 February 2022 (UTC)

... should be added as a feature. --Geo Dät (talk) 17:41, 21 February 2022 (UTC)

@Geo Dät: Let's discuss here, not resurrecting "approved" proposal.
Could add direction=*-* to show where it can face implicitly, or eg movable=* as in bridge:movable=* explicitly. --- Kovposch (talk) 11:15, 22 February 2022 (UTC)
In my point of view, movable means something different, i.e. to drag a lounger from one spot to another. Rotatability means the feasibility to rotate a lounger on its steel spindle. --Geo Dät (talk) 15:07, 22 February 2022 (UTC)
"Movable bridge" includes bridge:movable=swing. The draggability would be from installation=removable to installation=fixed, from cycle_barrier:installation=*. --- Kovposch (talk) 11:16, 23 February 2022 (UTC)
Or you can use eg lounger=turning first. --- Kovposch (talk) 11:18, 23 February 2022 (UTC)
Don't you think rotatable or turnable would be a better expression? Just to make sure what is meant: watch this little film. Best reagrds --Geo Dät (talk) 14:29, 25 February 2022 (UTC)
Oh, then none of the above. You made me think they rotate horizontally (yaw direction). That's why we shouldn't use "rotate". It can be any of the 3 axis.
There is tilt=*. Nothing using the word "pitch" (may be confused with seat spacing) or recliners, so you have to create eg lounger=reclining. Key:coach mentioned "reclinable", but offered no tag.

As seen in that little film, there are three types of loungers: A) at left side: adjustable in yaw and in pitch axis (never seen in public places), B) in the middle: adjustable only in yaw axis (seen in public places as parks), C) "normal" loungers on the left. In public places, all three types are normally immobile, i.e. fixed on the ground. I am looking for an expression of type B) and still proposing rotatable. --Geo Dät (talk) 09:21, 27 February 2022 (UTC)

Allow way tag

Just like there are very long benches, there are very long loungers, where many people can lie down in parallel. Jidanni (talk) 11:40, 7 August 2023 (UTC)
