Duplicate tag, should be deprecated

I believe this should be deprecated, for the moment I have added a note "This rarely used tag is disputed (not a building type, it is a property). Consider using a building type building=* and the property building:prefabricated=*". The tag has only 200 uses and while every building is "demountable", I can understand what is meant (easily demountable, conceptually thought to be demounted) and I believe this is a property of (different kind of) buildings, that should be recorded with a property tag, along with a more specific or established building=* tag. --Dieterdreist (talk) 12:15, 14 July 2021 (UTC)

I think it's reasonable to deprecate this tag in lieu of building:prefabricated=*. I have used it in the past but still agree that using building=school + building:prefabricated=yes is a more accurate description of a demountable school building. Aharvey (talk) 09:58, 25 February 2025 (UTC)
Maybe there is room for another tag (easily) “demountable” as it is not necessarily the same as prefabricated (although in real life it is mostly the case for demountable to be prefabricated, it is less sure for the other way round). It isn’t a good value for building=*, there I still agree. —Dieterdreist (talk) 20:36, 25 February 2025 (UTC)
