Talk:Tag:building=gatehouse

I think that whether a building is a 'gatehouse' or not should be categorized by whether it has other major - almost equivalent to its role as a 'gatehouse' - functions as a building. I think the building should be used not only as a gate, but at least as a watchtower, an observatory, gatekeeper's quarters, a museum, etc. It should not be used only as a structure or simply as a signpost.
