Coastguard?
Does coast guard qualify for Tag:landuse=military? in the US (where I am mapping) the coast guard is a branch of the United States Armed Forces and one of the country's seven uniformed services. [[1]]

- A bit late to the party! Yes, coast guard may be mapped as military if they are regarded as a military branch in that country (see military_service=*). Casey boy (talk) 10:11, 19 January 2021 (UTC)
Add explicit note that it covers also legacy dangers
Make clear that areas of polygons/war areas where cleanup is unfinished also counts as military use (it is already done in http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Tag:military%3Ddanger_area) Mateusz Konieczny (talk) 08:45, 18 June 2016 (UTC)
Landuse with individual bunkers?
iD currently wants to add landuse=military + building=bunker to individual bunkers (allready tagged military=bunker), because military=bunker is listed as an "additional tag" here. I think that's a clear mistake. Landuse=* & building=* doesn't belong on the same object. If I see no objections I'll remove military=bunker from the list.--Hjart (talk) 17:42, 8 June 2019 (UTC)
- I would interpret this page as "landuse=military may have this tags", not "this tags must have landuse=military". Still, typically `military=bunker` would be anyway within landuse, not have landuse tagged on it. Mateusz Konieczny (talk) 22:19, 8 June 2019 (UTC)
- I can't think of any situation where landuse=military & military=bunker on the same object would make sense. My primary concern though is all those historic bunkers (primarily german from WW1 & WW2) in Denmark for example, that just sits around in the landscape outside any current military areas, often freely accessible to anyone.
