Stadium of Isiro is not shown

Why the stadium of Isiro is not shown? At the Eastern end of the village green of the town of Isiro (Haut-Uele, Congo) is a stadium. In Potlatch, you can see it, but not on tha map, even the stadium is in the Potlatch for a long time (days, not hours or minutes). Later added streets are all there?!--Männedorf 18:20, 4 March 2010 (UTC)

Seems to be there now; http://www.openstreetmap.org/?lat=2.77538&lon=27.62361&zoom=15 has an area marked "Stade". Tonywalton 00:00, 5 June 2010 (UTC)

Stadium names

Is there any guidance on what name a stadium is given? Stadium names seem quite volatile, in these days when everything is open to sponsorship, while the locally-used name of a stadium may well stay static. For instance a local rugby stadium (home of Featherstone Rovers) is locally known as "Post Office Road" (due, unsurprisingly, to the name of the road on which it is located), but was once upon a time known as Lionheart Stadium" (when sponsored by British Coal), then "Chris Moyles Stadium" (after a local radio presenter; no money changed hands for this but the club hoped that they would gain publicity and a new sponsor) and is now "Bigfellas Stadium" (sponsored by a local night club). The Newcastle United Stadium (historically St James' Park) became the bizarrely-named "sportsdirect.com@St James' Park Stadium" for a (mercifully) short while for some publicity stunt, and so on.

So what's best practice here? Put a

name=Gasworks Road Stadium

tag with the locally-used, stable but unofficial name (which is often of use in actually locating a place) or

local_name=Gasworks Road Stadium

name=Maddox's Fish 'n' Chip Stadium" (which though temporarily "official" may well become "name=Wan Hung Lo Cantonese Takeaway Stadium" next week)?

operator?

What about using operator in leisure=stadium. For example, in Argentina the stadium belongs to a Club (the operator). The stadiums have names too.

Example:

leisure=stadium sport=soccer operator=Club Atlético Boca Juniors name=Alberto Armando

What is "stadium area"? How to tag non-circular stadiums?

There two types of stadiums: large donut-like stadiums and smaller stadiums that sometimes doesn't have clear "border" (ex. http://openstreetmap.org/relation/3840811 http://www.openstreetmap.org/way/289309566). How to tag smaller stadiums without clear border? Simple way is to mark entire stadium area (usually fence or wall). Xxzme (talk) 12:50, 23 June 2014 (UTC)

Do stands count as a building?

If I have a stadium with stands (seats) but it's not a building in that there's no door or roof or anything, do I still tag is at building? --Marion Barry (talk) 18:07, 8 July 2014 (UTC)

I was just wondering the same thing. I looked around at a bunch of stadiums on OSM, and it seems that the trends is that if it's a large sports stadium, such as Rutgers Stadium, Victory Field, Panther's Stadium, or Mile High Stadium, with "outdoor" seating (ie: no roof), then tag it as a building. For smaller "stadiums" that are basically just a field with some bleachers next to them, such as high school fields, don't tag those as a building. Oddityoverseer (talk) 16:37, 9 April 2016 (UTC)

Bezeichnung von Blöcken / Rängen

Wie soll man einzelne Blöcke oder Ränge in Stadien oder großen Konzertbühnen benennen? building=yes ist genaugenommen falsch, weil nicht jeder Block ein eigenes Gebäude ist, aber area=yes ist auch nicht optimal.

Beispiele:
Allianz Arena jeder Block ein area=yes
Ronhof Fürth jeder Block ein building=yes
Olympiastadion München jeder Block ein building=yes
Waldbühne Berlin, ohne Überdachung Noch nicht getagt, besonders komplizierter Fall.

Wie wäre es mit Key:room; Room:enclosure / (Gebiets-)Abgrenzung?
