That's not really a matter of preference. The wikidata tag contains the Wikidata item about the object itself - not the owner, brand, chain or similar related entities. --Tordanik 10:16, 26 November 2015 (UTC)

Ok so it could be better to use franchise:wikidata=* and brand=* ? or brand=* + brand:wikidata=* ? franchise=* is less used than brand=* and brand:wikidata=* is more used than franchise:wikidata=* (look taginfo)... --Julien N (talk) 10:35, 26 November 2015 (UTC)

Since brand:wikidata=* is more used than franchise:wikidata=*, I think we should use brand:wikidata=*. Also I think we should definitely use brand=* too. --K1wi (talk) 13:44, 27 November 2015 (UTC)
