Contradictory informations regarding tagging bidirectional signals.

One thing where the text needs to be improved a little is the tagging of bidirectional signals. This is because Multiple signals at the same location mentions to use backward but Signals for both directions in Weak Points of This Tagging Scheme suggests to use two separate signals. While both are about different types of signals, it still feels like to be quite an inconsistent statement (especially because I'm of the opinion to use forward/backward where needed and using separate signals is pretty much just tagging for the renderer). --ManuelB701 (talk) 17:24, 27 January 2025 (UTC)

This discrepancy has been here for a long time. Since the beginnings of the documented signal tagging pages.
The forward/backward was first mentioned on this page, but not on the OpenRailwayMap/Tagging/Signal page, which advises to use multiple nodes.
You might get more feedback and responses by posting this on the Talk:OpenRailwayMap/Tagging page, or even on the community forums
