- This table should be available on all tags where there are conflicting tag names, in order for people to see which are the popular one. Also the {{Merge}}-template should be on all of these. Actually, shop=communication would be better as many of these shops also offer land line and internet services. Mobile phone is a little to restrictive IMO. Confucion is complete when office=telecommunication starts tagging function=retail on top of this. --Skippern 16:54, 3 September 2011 (BST)
- I've added a few things as shop=communications, however these were a different type of shop. See Talk:Key:internet_access#internet_access_shop (with photos). So my use of this tag was not as a duplicate. These are not exactly mobile phone shops.
- I suppose we could think of it as an umbrella term, where perhaps mapping with a more specific term is preferable. Another umbrella term is 'electonics' of course. We could map all mobile shops as shop=electronics. ...just to add another tag to the pot :-)
