This has been discussed with the local community. Also note that this does not "import" data directly into OSM, but every item is converted into a note first and only added onto OSM after validation. Pietervdvn 11:18, 11 July 2022 (UTC)

There are two paragraphs on this methodology and a pointer to tools to see the notes without the import notes. This was also communicated on Belgian OpenStreetMap-meetups and in the chat channel, so the community was very well-informed . The biggest concerns were to have notes open for years, but tooling is in place to close them all after e.g. one year. Pietervdvn (talk) 09:49, 12 July 2022 (UTC)
