Building Types

For consistency, could anyone list here how they are tagging the church owned buildings? So far I've only mapped chapels and I'm including:

• name=Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
• amenity=place_of_worship
• religion=christian
• denomination=mormon
• addr:housenumber
• addr:street
• addr:postcode
• phone
• webaddress=http://lds.org

Sometimes there are gnis tags too, but not often. Should we include the chapel name too? Worship times? How about institute buildings, bishop store houses, and other church property? I'm really stumped as to how to tag an institute building. Also has anyone marked the green space around chapels? What tag do you use for that? --FrozenFlame22 21:57, 17 July 2012 (BST)

Here is a meetinghouse I recently edited.

Here are the keys I'm using:

• denomination=mormon

• religion=christian
• service_times=Su 09:00,10:30,12:00

I use branch to indicate which wards/branches meet there. This tag is used for bank branches, for example, so that seemed like a good use.

I use service_time to indicate the time that service starts for each ward/branch. I don't indicate which ward meets at which time, since for many buildings, that changes ever year.

For website, I use the link to the building on the church's map site, since that relates to the specific building, rather than the church as a whole.
