[Edit] [Purge] Template-info.svg Template documentation

This template produces a userbox intended for editors who likes to collaborate with mappers from all over the world, even if they don't live in their region.

Usage

If you are not a cat, simply add {{User non-cat}} to your user page.

This template has been translated into several languages, the use of which is controlled by the |lang = parameter. Simply supply the ISO 639-1 two-letter code for your preferred language as the value to that parameter, as in |lang = pt. Thus the full template invocation for one of the translations would take the form: {{User non-cat|lang=pt}}. The language codes for the currently available translations are shown below in the TemplateData section as suggested values.

Custom styling

This template is built using {{Userbox}}, and will passthrough any valid parameters for that template that are supplied to it, with the exception of the text shown within it. All such parameters are documented below in the TemplateData section.

Users who behave like cats

Cats (and kittens) are adorable, but they are also very territorial animals.

Some OSM contributors behave like cats, they think that the territory around them belongs to them (and the map!). They don't like that mappers from other parts of the world edit the map of their city, their region or even their country. They forget that the OSM map is a global map and a common good where all edits, wherever they come from, are welcome.

Use this userbox to indicate to the OSM community that you are not a cat, i.e. that you are a mapper who likes to collaborate with mappers from all over the world even if they don't live in your region.
