- I'm a software engineer (C++, python, SQL etc) based in Oxford.
- In my last job, I wrote software to design silicon chips - and so spent a lot of time using and implementing graph algorithms. Hence I find working on OSM very stimulating: using a set of familiar algos on new, real-world, data.
Coding
I'm currently working on a set of C++ libraries for processing OSM data, and several utilities using these including:
- An implementation of the version 0.5 API as an Apache module
- A flexible router using the boost graph library

Mapping
I've done very little - far less than I'd like: just the odd tweak at the moment. I'm primarily interested in the cycle and walking maps: it's great to see data that just isn't available from the main mapping sites building up...
