Hi I'm Daniel and I'm an active OSM user (@daniel_solow) in the Long Island & New York City area. I was formerly working with geospatial technology but have switched tracks to healthcare to train and work as a Physician Assistant. I am focused on mapping buildings and addresses and adopting the public transport schema to the regional bus networks for use on applications like OSMAnd. The bulk of my editing is done through JOSM and GoMap! I always look for opportunities to build the NYC and Long Island OSM communities.

In 2020 due to the COVID19 pandemic, I coordinated with OSMUS leadership to run several Zoom facilitated mapathons. In 2022 I would like to try engage in more in-person events as I am getting burnt out from Zoom.
