OpenStreetMap isn't a computer project, it's an outdoors activity.
Less of the bulk imports and wikifiddling please.
Go outside and map!
Hello I'm based in Sweden and maps parts around where I live and go.
I found out about OpenStreetMap after buying a GPS, I thought that the maps that were available in the store was of to bad resolution and quality. So I'd searched the net and compared different maps quality and price, I stumbled upon OSM, its price was 0 and its quality was quite high. And it adds interactivity! If you find a white spot you can fill it in yourself rather than swearing about the money you wasted at some bad product.
I wish life always was like this ;)
Operating system is ofc a Linux-based system (Ubuntu). Mapping using Potlatch and sometimes JOSM. Collecting tracs using a Garmin eTrex Legend HCx GPS unit.
