A tiny bit about myself...

I consider myself an Edinburgh local although my childhood was not in Edinburgh. I'm particularly happy to hear from other Edinburgh editors in regard to editing Edinburgh data, but I'm also involved in mapping across Scotland to some extent.

I'm currently worrying that a good deal of information on OpenStreetMap is written from the prespective of enthusiasts and technically well informed people - and that this is a very big barrier for ordinary users (those primarily wanting to use map data for non-technical purposes... like getting from A to B!).

I'm also very keen to see improvements in tagging conventions for paths and footways - to account for the huge range of 'paths' which appear on the ground.

I'm always happy to hear if you think I got something wrong (or right).
