Hi, my name is François Van Der Biest.

I live and map near Chambéry, Savoie, France. I'm registered as an OSM user since october 2006.

I'm working in the "GIS for the web" field at Camptocamp SA, and I've been in charge of the free geodata committee at the Francophone OSGeo Local Chapter for 3 years (2007-2010).

I'm also running QualityStreetMap.org server, which hosts several resources for the OSM community:

• the OSMQA application, which aims at assessing quality over surveyed areas,
• several OSM base layers, made with MapServer
• OSM data downloads as shapefiles, mainly administrative boundaries.

I've already held talks about OpenStreetMap and spread the good word at different occasions :
