Standpipe definition

A standpipe is a water collection point allowing to obtain large amount of water.

In some country it use to dispense water in areas which do not have a running water supply to the buildings.

In France (as i knwow) it use by professionals too.

In some case, it similar to a fire hydrant but not used to fight fires.
