Edits to light:colour

Hello Lumikeiju and welcome to the Wiki. On the Wiki pages we can describe only tags and keys that are in use. For tags that you want to propose, please use Proposal process. And there is a consensus for not blanking infoboxes (removing parameters) on English pages. Data items are copies of what is in articles. maro21 20:29, 7 July 2024 (UTC)

Hi Maro21, and thanks for the welcome. Do note that I am not proposing the light:colour=* and related tags as these stem from Proposal:Key:light_source which was started by a different user in 2014. In the ten years since then, many of the proposed tags (which never went to a vote) entered into use in OSM and my edits to the related Wiki pages are simply documenting that fact as well as providing tagging guidance on value formats as per the proposal's suggestions - ex. light:colour=560 nm, a format not currently mapped but a useful example to include in the documentation page for the tag so that newly added values follow a standardized format.
As for the infoboxes - you're correct, from reading the page you linked and other relevant discussions it seems that the data items aren't yet a full solution for centralized properties, so I'll re-added the KeyDescription infobox to the pages I've edited. Thanks for the helpful feedback! :) --Lumikeiju (talk) 21:19, 7 July 2024 (UTC)
